Orthotopic Heart-Lung Transplantation: Outcomes and Predictors of Outcomes in Recipients with Eisenmenger Syndrome, Other Congenital Etiologies, and Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

      The frequency of orthotopic heart-lung transplantation (OHLT) procedures has decreased over time, and limited published data exist regarding outcomes and predictors of outcomes. We tested the hypothesis that patients with Eisenmenger syndrome (ES) have better survival than those with other congenital etiologies (OC), idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension (IPAH), or other indications for OHLT.
