Upper line shows IVUS grey-scale CSA of CAV with specific concentric plaque pattern.The lower line shows the corresponding VH color-coded plaque components. A shows CSA in the distal segment, B in the medial segment and C in the proximal segment of the RCA, respectively.
VH-IVUS, plaque components are as follows:
A) Intimal Thickening: Fibrous 67%, Fibro-Fatty 32%, Dense Calcium 0%, Necrotic Core 1%. Plaque burden: 45%.
B) Fibroatheroma: Fibrous 49%, Fibro-Fatty 29%, Dense Calcium 11%, Necrotic Core 11%. Plaque burden: 41%.
C) Fibrotic Plaque: Fibrous 63%, Fibro-Fatty 23%, Dense Calcium 7%, Necrotic Core: 7%. Plaque burden: 41%.
